hey its me MR. sandstone again and each type of rock can go on a different journy through the rock cycle

hi i'm mr sandstone, im just one type of sedimentary rock

hi i'm siltstone, another type of sedimentary rock  

im shale, the most common type of sedimentary rock

as I go through the rock cycle I will change from one rock to another so I wont be a siltstone anymore

me shale can go on a different journey through the rock cycle then MR. sandstone on the top part of the page

in the rock cycle rocks can become a different rock like a metomorphic rock and igneous rock

some rocks that go through the rock cycle get minerals

one way that rocks can change if with erosion. eroion is when water or wind break down rocks

there can be different stages to get from one rock to another like metomorphic rocks turn into magme before they turn into igneous rocks

and for a igneous rock to become a sedimentary rock they have to turn into sediment

sediment is a lot of little rock pecies like gravel or sand

one way rocks change is with compaction. compaction is when rocks get mashed together

compaction happens when sediment turn into sedimentary rock

some rocks get crystallization witch is when rock get crystals on or in them

metamorphic are rocks that get heated for a very long time and igneous is when lava or magma get cooled down so much that you can break it appart
