INTRODUCTION
The Fuenfria valley is an unique enclave of the ``Sierra de Guadarrama´´, a mountainous formation that belongs to the Central system.
The Fuenfría valley is located in the central area of the `` Sierra de Guadarrama´´, on its southern slope. It is located in the Spanish municipality of Cercedilla, in the Community of Madrid.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
It is important because it is surrounded by magnificent wild pine forests . It is a natural environment of great environmental value
Numerous streams pass through the Fuenfría valley. There is an abundance of vegetation, and the wild pine forest covers almost the entire surface of the valley.
FLORA
The most characteristic fauna of Cercedilla is associated with the dense pine forests. There you can see the roe deer, the red squirrel that feeds on the pine nuts of the Albar pine and various forest birds such as the jay (Cyanistes caeruleus) also known as the common crouch.
FAUNA
