Introduction
Mount Abantos is a mountain of the Sierra de Guadarrama in the Central plain, a chain that runs from east to west in the center of the Iberian Peninsula, in Spain. Most of the mountain is located in the municipality of San Lorenzo del Escorial in Madrid, with part of its western slope in the Castilian-Leonese province of Ávila.
Flora and landscape

Outstanding flora: Mount Abantos was reforested at the end of the 19th century with several species of trees, with the Pine and Resinero Pine being dominant. There are several species of Ferns, very interesting mosses and a great variety of lichens.
