Lesson 1: Place Value
Numbers have a lot of place values and they are ordered from great to least
The ones are the first numbers in a number there can only be 3 places for the ones, the tens, and the hundreds
The ones can only have until the 9 it can only have 1 digit, the tens 99 they can only have 2 digits, and the hundreds until 999 they can only have 3 digits.
The thousandths places are after the ones and they have a comma between them
The thousands can only have 4 digits, the ten thousands can only have 5 digits, and the hundred thousand can only have 6 digits.
The millionths places are after the thousandths places , they also have a comma between them
Every place value that is greater will add 1 digit.
Lesson 2: Comparing and Ordering Whole Numbers
To compare a whole number you need to see the numbers in both whole numbers so the bigger part points to the bigger number and the little part point to the other number Ex
1543>1322
1543>1322
If both numbers are the same you use the equal sign
1254=1254
1254=1254
