How to solve Equations

An equation is a mathematical sentence that may have up to 4 operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). There are 6 steps for solving an equation.
The first step is to identify the variable. An example of this is n-4=10 the operation applied here is subtraction.
The second step is state the inverse operation. The inverse operation is the opposite operation, for example, addition is the inverse operation of Subtraction, and multiplication is the one for division. So the inverse operation in n-4=10 is addition
The third step is to apply the inverse operation on both sides of the equal sign. Let's go back to the n-4 example. Here the inverse operation is addition so if we apply it on both sides it will be n-4+4=10+4.
