As I referred to, there are many ways to be sustainable, so here are a couple of organizations/activists who can be recognized as guidance/a role model...

Greta Thunberg, who has recently gone viral over the past year is now a global climate activist who has published two books, one of them being &#8220;No one is too small to make a difference&#8221;. Her initiative was initially started through her school but it still was her who had started a protest on being sustainable for the environment.this shows that age doesn&#8217;t matter when making a difference.

Of course since we are all civilians we do not have the permission or power to change the law to help reduce climate change, so instead we can start spreading the word through posters, online campaigns and community clubs. This is what I call the &#8220;ripple effect&#8221; (which many of you might have heard of....) where as, if we tell a few people, then those people will tell other people and soon societies will be collaborating and so on and so forth. That is how Greta Thunberg, and The Guardian started their protests and realization for helping the environment

Methods to reduce climate change are: Prevent deforestation Reduce Reuse and Recycle

Everyone matters. If we can at least plant a small tree or sapling every day then we should because it will, help the environment. The reason I mentioned deforestation is because when a lumberjack cuts down a tree, they should always replant the tree so through time that tree will grow and take the dead trees place.

Climate change occurs when the green house gases negatively impact our earth&#8217;s ozone layer. Since our ozone layer gets damaged by the green house gases we emit ,we have a higher chance of being diagnosed with skin cancer as the Sun&#8217;s UV rays affect us. Climate change has a cycle, due to climate change that cycle breaks and even in India we experience more monsoons and if you look at the state of the artic area, then you will see most of the polar ice capes melting away.

Just like me, the United Nations is not pleased with the number of people that go to bed hungry everyday. According to world hunger.org about 520 million people went hungry in Asia in 2018-2019. That is why the UN had made the Sustainable Development Goals. There are 17 SDGs, each of them specializing in one global cause. Our everyday items, like plastic cups, straws and even food and water can easily be reused and not wasted. You may have seen people wasting food that they don&#8217;t like or throwing the half cup of water in the sink, and that is not okay.. Sustainability is the key to saving and conserving planet Earth&#8217;s resources. For most of us, we basically have an endless supply of water by the push of a lever. And since we are able to do that we tend to forget how critical and necessary water is for all of us. And that is why by being sustainable you: Do not waste Help keep the environment clean And Save resources

The most challenging part to make people aware about sustainability is convincing them. Everyone has a different way of thinking. If You and I had a ball and we could put any color on it, we would color it differently right? That is the problem here and some people locally around say, &#8220;I&#8217;m being sustainable so you need to tell others to be sustainable.&#8221;. But that is why we have climate activists and organizations who are helping people see through what they have been spoiled and affected by.

The 3 r&#8217;s stand for: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Reduce refers to reducing the wastage of resources, we should reduce the consumption of plastic and use more cloth and jute bags instead. Also, replacing plastic straws and cups into paper will also create a drastic decrease in plastic consumption. We should also reduce the use of plastic bottles. A tremendous amount of people use different plastic bottles everyday which leads to my point on reusing. Reuse stands for the reuse of the same things again and again. We can reuse that plastic bag we got from shopping to shop again, thus reducing the amount of plastic used. We can reuse plastic bottles just like plastic bags as well. Now for recycle. You can recycle your empty toilet paper rolls to make DIY pencil stands or you could take an old shirt that doesn&#8217;t fit you anymore and turn it into a handy cloth bag which is surprisingly fairly durable.

&#8220;Climate change and Sustainability&#8221;s purpose is to convince and make people aware about what is happening to our planet. This book talks about what, who, why, and how you can help reduce global warming, and increase our effort to be sustainable
