When I am in danger, I roll up into a tight ball so that I don't get hurt!

Fun Fact:&#160; Pangolin scales are made of keratin, which is the same material as our fingernails and hair!

Pangolins have a very flexible tail that they use to climb trees and hang from branches!

If you were a pangolin, you could easily roll up into a ball so that people don't hurt you!

If you were a pangolin, you wouldn't need to brush your teeth because you can use your tongue to eat and swallow food!

Maya and Shruthi are two eighth graders at Almaden Country Day School in San Jose, California. They created this book in their elective class called Inspiring Young Scientific Minds. They wrote it for Mrs. Kitagawa's kindergarten students who are learning about endangered species.
