Introduction

Before thinking “how does it matter if we follow unsustainable practices” you should think what if everyone is doing this?what would happen? This book will talk about,
how things are changing environmentally?
how is it affecting us?
what sustainable habits must we follow?
are decisions being taken for a global world or just local issues?
how can we reduce our impact on Earth?

There are many problems that the world is facing today. The main problems are air pollution,water pollution and global warming. These problems trigger more problems such as...
Erratic weather, excess garbage, health issues, marine life endangered, food chain suffering and water level rising. To stop this the United Nations have thought of some sustainable development goals to reduce this one of those goals is the SDG10 which was created for sustainable purposes. Single used plastic also triggers global warming.
At this point I would like to discuss that plastic is not bad , plastic was created to save the planet as it took very less energy to make, while cotton took way more and for paper you need to cut trees. However, humans got lazy instead of using one bag again and again, they threw the bag that they used once, which is unsustainable. This led to many landfill and oceans garbage. Animal life on land and water suffered due to this.That’s why single used plastic is bad.

Causes and effects of these problems

Causes

Global warming: A main cause of air pollution is burning the plants left over after harvesting , this is common in many countries , the farmers do this! Some people ask why don’t they bury it??? Due to ease, they burn it. Excessive use of plastic is also a cause, however banning plastic is not a good idea for companies because they use tonnes. marine life will die as they will eat plastic.

Air pollution : It is caused by solid and liquid particles and certain gases that are suspended in the air. These particles and gases can come from car and truck exhaust, factories, dust, pollen, mold spores, volcanoes and wildfires. One more cause is farmers burning crop waste too. The Australian bushfire is the latest example of horrors of air pollution and killing of many animals

Water pollution: Sewage And Waste Water: Sewage, garbage and liquid waste of households, agricultural lands and factories are discharged into lakes and rivers. These wastes contain harmful chemicals and toxins which make the water poisonous for aquatic animals and plants. Shipping containers carrying oils which at times lead to oil spill is another reason for water pollutions in the oceans.

Did you know in America, China, indonesia and Russia many cities are being turned into sponge cities, Architects have found a way to reduce water wastage, when floods are happening then the cities will absorb the water rather than getting ruined.

Effects

I am not causing these problems, but should I be worried?

Global warming - The effects of global warming can be floods, diseases, less protection from ultra violet rays and it can cause wars and violence. Water level will rise and floods will be frequent because of glaciers melting.

Water pollution - An average of 70% of the earth is covered with water, out of that only 2% of the water is drinkable , If drinkable water runs out then there is no possibility of life.

Air pollution - If the air pollution goes on like this there will be no clean air or Oxygen which can help our body to survive so again no possibility of life. The main cities of the earth will be Ruined and abandoned.
