A narwhal's horn is actually one of its teeth&#160;<br />growing out of the left side of its mouth.&#160;

We are endangered because of pollution, boating accidents, and global warming.

Our enemies are killer whales, polar bears and walruses.

We eat squid, shrimp, fish,&#160; and crabs.

There are less than 80,000&#160; &#160;of us left.

If you had the super power of a narwhal, you could reach candy that your parents hid way up high.

Most people love narwals because&#160;<br />they&#160;are&#160;the unicorns of the sea.

We live in the waters&#160;<br />off of Canada, Greenland, Norway, and Russia.

People are trying to prevent hunting and global warming to help us.

Brandon and Peter are two sixth graders at Almaden Country Day School in San Jose, California. They created this book in their elective class called Inspiring Young Scientific Minds. They wrote it for Mrs. Kitagawa's kindergarten students who are learning about endangered species.
