Splash! Splash! Tracy’s toes scrunch up as the waves hit the sand. Tracy and her best friend Tilley just entered the beach and were about to put their towels down. Today was an early release at their school, Heartwood Elementary, so they went to the beach. Tracy has long, dirty blonde hair with blue eyes, rosy red cheeks, a beach bag, a Harry Potter book in her hand, a flower dress, pink sandals, and of course, a flower headband to match with it. Tilley has short, black, curly hair with brown eyes, a top and bottom swimming suit with blue flip flops.
“Come on!” shouted Tilley, throwing her towel onto the sand. Tilley dived into the water, head first, with a giant splash. “Hey!” screamed Tracy, “wait for me!” Tracy ran towards Tilley’s towel, picked it up, and laid it out neatly. She did the same to her own. After, she laid on her towel, took sunglasses out of her bag, and started reading her Harry Potter book.
Thirty minutes later… “Whew it’s hot!” said Tracy. Tracy reached into her bag and started putting sunscreen on herself. “Uhh!?” Tilley wondered. Tracy turned around, “Aww! They're so cute!!” Tracy responded. They could not believe their eyes as they saw little baby turtles just hatching from their eggs!! They were as small as your fist, with a hard shell on the top, and the best part was their little faces!! They slushed the sand away as they followed sunlight to the ocean. “What should we do!?” wondered Tilley. “Let’s just leave them alone for now,” responded Tracy.
Ten minutes later… “Tracy, look!” Tilley shouted. Tracy looked to where she was pointing. There were two boys turning the turtles away from the ocean. “Hey!”
Tracy hollered. “Stop that!!” Tracy and Tilley bolted to the turtles and turned the turtles back to the ocean. “That was not very nice.” Tilley and Tracy shouted at the same time. “So?” The boys said. “Go away and leave the tiny turtles alone.” Tracy directed. “Whatever,” the boys said as they walked away.
“Come on, Tilley. Let’s move our towels by the turtles,” said Tracy. “Ok,” said Tilley. They both quickly moved their towels by the turtles. Then Tracy began reading her Harry Potter book and Tilley played in the water for the rest of the afternoon.
