      In the age of Humanism, thinking people raised the slogan "Back to Nature" as well as "Forward to Nature". These philosophic outlooks are essential for ecology considered as a global policy.&#160;<br />      On the one hand, the "Back to Nature" appeal reminds us that we must preserve the environment in its genuine and balanced condition and conserve it for the future.&#160;

On the other hand, the "Forward to Nature" appeal sounds as a wish to preserve the most precious heritage we have, our nature, and to pass it on to the future generations.&#160;

Nowadays, humanity faces the great problem of protecting the entire planet from pollution.

The poet Jonathan Reed wrote the poem "The Lost Generation" or "There is Hope" as a symbol of two possible outcomes for the human development. The poem can be read in two ways &#8211; forwards and backwards (in reverse). Each one of them presents completely opposite values. Jonathan Reed wrote two titles for his literary work, depending on the option the reader chooses: either "The Lost Generation" or "There is Hope".

Today, people do not treat Earth as a deity.

We do not respect nature, nor do we care about it. It suffers from the harms and damages we cause to it. Our irresponsible actions change the climate and our Mother Nature. 

However, She is patient to our insanity and

ready to recover from it as long as we stop polluting and overexploiting Her resources.&#160;

If we return back to Mother Nature and start living in harmony with Her, She will continue&#160;nourishing us, giving us air, water, shelter, beauty and space.

And if we continue neglecting and ignoring the problems of the Earth, we risk the extinction of many species: plants, animals and&#8230; human beings!&#160;<br />

In the mythology of the ancient Greeks, the Earth was deified.

My name is Stanislava and I live in Europe, Bulgaria, in the town of Veliko Tarnovo. I am a 7th grade student and I like reading, learning interesting facts and drawing. Nature is always present in my pictures. <br />My home town is the old capital of Bulgaria. It is situated on a few picturesque hills and attracts many tourists from around the world. I would like it to remain the same when I grow up and have my own children. That is why I have taken a personal initiative - planting a tree every year. This is my contribution to helping and sustaining the environment, and I do that not only for the people I love but for the future generations, too.
