The Perfect Hike

The perfect hike to take isn’t in the mountains, or in a forest, or in a prairie. The perfect hike is in your own backyard. Sure, you’ve seen it every day for as long as you can remember, but have you really seen it? Really crouched down to watch a spider weave it’s web, or a worm crawl through the dirt? Taking a hike or nature walk in your own backyard can open your eyes to a tiny world you’ve never given a second glance. Afterwards, it will help you realize the importance of saving the birds, bees, flowers, and trees of our world.

What You Can Do

One of the problems with our current world is the lack of care we give to the environment. There are many small, simple solutions to this problem that you can do on your own. First, you can pick up trash at a nearby park or playground. Gather a group of environmentalists to stuff trash bags with the junk you find. If picking up trash is too gross for you, you can start recycling. Recycling is easy; all you need is a bag. You can put recyclable items, (paper, cardboard, cans, etc.), in the bag and leave it out to be recycled, or take the bag to a recycling place. You can also use a cardboard box for recycling.
