The vendor has been slow to address accessibility concerns, however, in the past year has made significant strides into re-launching the product. -Some embedded content doesn't work on all browsers. -Educator is still responsible for ensuring the content is accessible even if the platform itself may be accessible.

Quizizz does fare better for accessibility on the student side but relies too heavily on users downloading an external Assistive Technology from Essential Accessibility. When downloaded this tool may help some students/instructors navigate around the tool, but it also creates barriers for other disabled groups.

In order to navigate with the tool from Essential Accessibility, a user has to turn off the assistive technology device/software they are using. A user shouldn't have to download an external tool to engage with any online tool.

When you evaluate Web 2.0 tools, remember it is all about the content.

You have to know your audience. If you use a tool that is not fully accessible, you can still use it with your students if all the students are able to get the content fully. However, if any member of your audience cannot fully interact with the tool/content, then you must consider using a different tool.

-You can assign&nbsp;the quizzes as&nbsp;homework&nbsp;so that students&nbsp;can&nbsp;review&nbsp;the&nbsp;content&nbsp;at their pace without the&nbsp;competition. -Students can choose to enable the memes, music and read aloud features. -Tests&nbsp;can also be&nbsp;printed out&nbsp;for&nbsp;students&nbsp;who require printed versions of&nbsp;information. They don't get the interaction of the&nbsp;quiz, but they get the&nbsp;content. These printouts can be customized for those who need enlarged images and font sizes. -For students with test anxiety, you can make time limits for questions up to 15 min per question, giving students more time to think about the content. Timer bars can be hidden to help ease anxiety.

-Quizizz is a great tool for students but the tool does have some accessibility flaws (See the Accessibility Score Card) -Main areas of concern on the instructor/student side: Keyboard navigation and screen reader access.

A robust browser extension you can try is called HelperBird.

&nbsp;<a href="https://www.helperbird.com/">Helper Bird</a> is a browser extension that is available for <a href="https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/detail/helperbird-for-edge/bkibfggdahioahpokehoiimdmdjefjmd">Edge</a>, <a href="https://addons.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/addon/helperbird/">FireFox,</a><a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/helperbird-for-safari/id1589138053">Safari </a>and <a href="https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/helperbird-for-chrome/ahmapmilbkfamljbpgphfndeemhnajme">Chrome</a> browsers. Have a discussion about the accessibility features of electronic devices.

Many electronic devices have built-in accessibility features in their products. Access and Accessibility get used interchangeably when we discuss online content.

They are not the same thing. Having access means the content is available. Accessibility means that students can engage fully with the content.
