My name is Riyajna. I enjoy playing with my toys and I also learn to read with my mum.

My name is Krishika. I like reading stories. I read a story to my teacher over Facebook.

Our school was closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak two weeks ago. However, we have continued learning new skills at home.

My name is Aabishkaar. I enjoy learning to read on my tablet. I have learned how to use a tablet.

Nepali Children's Diary Entries during  the Coronavirus School Closure

My name is Ranjeeta. I spent all afternoon making paper flowers with my younger brother Rajeev. I am happy with  what we have created.

My name is Jenisha and&#160;Jenish is my younger brother.&#160;We love reading books. We have read many story books together.

My name is Sankalpa. My mum taught me to cook Tarkaari (Curry). I am happy that I can help my parents with household chores.

I am Anushtha. My dad teaches me how to look after plants. My dad and I wear a mask to protect against Coronavirus. I wash my hands with soap and water after I finish working in our garden.

My name is Darpana. I can wash the dishes.

My name is Riwaaj. During the school closure , I learned a life skill - cooking roti. Now, I know how to cook Roti. "On a lightly floured surface, use a rolling pin to roll out the balls of dough until very thin like a tortilla. When the pan starts smoking, put &#160;the Roti on it.&#160; Cook&#160;until the underside has brown spots, this takes about 30 seconds, then flip and&#160;cook&#160;on the other side".

My name is Lakisha. I am so happy that I learned to cook Roti with my mum. I like eating Roti with yogurt and Saag. I cooked 20 Roties for dinner last night.
