In a forest far far away, there was a little bird that lived with his mom.
One day, they moved to a new nest and the bird got ready for his first day at his new school.
The little bird was so excited, he chirped and chirped on his way there.

The little bird was so excited, he chirped and chirped on his way there.
He whooshed past the trees and dashed past the bigger birds to get to school.
At school, the little bird was asked to introduce himself to the class. The bird said ‘Hi, my name is Nyamekye, nice to meet you all'. He looked at the teacher and saw she was confused. She asked him to say his name again and he did: ‘Hi my name is Nyamekye.’ Nyamekye looked at the class and saw that they were also confused.
Later at recess, he tried making new friends with the kids outside. The other birds didn’t want to play with him and made fun of his name. This made Nyamekye sad.
After school, He perched on his little bench outside the nest wondering why the other birds didn’t like him.
Nyamekye’s mom saw him crying and asked:
‘Why so sad, little bird?’
‘They made fun of my name today mommy, I hate it!’
‘Don’t say that. Your name is special, it means ‘God’s gift’ you are special because you are my gift from God.’
‘Really?’, The wide-eyed Nyamekye asked.
‘Yes, really’, his mom replied.
This made Nyamekye happy.
