Twist and Pull
By Daphne
By Daphne
Dirty musty clean
have grabbed me
I see the same thing
all around me
I felt angry push
and shy turn me
The secrets that I can unlock
have always rewarded me
I am the first step
to giving hope
I love the smell of new beginnings
when their hands are washed with soap
Millions have touched me
Billions I should say
all come in worried
come out happy the other way
have grabbed me
I see the same thing
all around me
I felt angry push
and shy turn me
The secrets that I can unlock
have always rewarded me
I am the first step
to giving hope
I love the smell of new beginnings
when their hands are washed with soap
Millions have touched me
Billions I should say
all come in worried
come out happy the other way
Long hair, short hair, black, white
and tattooed hands
Hard Rock, Soft Pop
All Forming one band
Cliff Cabin lumberjack a princess with a wand
Old lady who feeds the ducks on a winter pond
The one who stood by the creek singing to the birds
the one who sits in an office all day and never gets to be heard
A fearless warrior a scared coward if that
The ones below the hope line that begs for money in their hat
They never speculate anything
just walked by me like nothing's wrong
But I know what they're feeling
Because
I
am a
doorknob
Dirty musty clean
have grabbed me
I see the same thing
all around me
I felt angry push
and shy turn me
The secrets that I can unlock
have always rewarded me
I am the first step
to giving hope
I love the smell of new beginnings
when their hands are washed with soap
Millions have touched me
Billions I should say
all come in worried
come out happy the other way
have grabbed me
I see the same thing
all around me
I felt angry push
and shy turn me
The secrets that I can unlock
have always rewarded me
I am the first step
to giving hope
I love the smell of new beginnings
when their hands are washed with soap
Millions have touched me
Billions I should say
all come in worried
come out happy the other way
Long hair, short hair, black, white
and tattooed hands
Hard Rock, Soft Pop
All Forming one band

The ones below the hope line that begs for money in their hat

just walked by me like nothing's wrong
But I know what they're feeling

I
am a
doorknob
COME
into my wall of inspiration
