ENJOYGood afternoon everyone! My name is Ethan, and today I will be reading to you my poem. This poem reflects on calmness. During this time of Covid-19 we need to try to stay calm. Even if you are feeling troubled, sit down and think of something calm or if there is a stream near you maybe you should go sit by it, close your eyes and listen. So this poem is a reminder that we have to stay calm. Now, here is my poem.
Dear Water,
Thank you for providing a liquid to drink
Thank you for glittering brilliantly
Thank you for being there to calm me
Sometimes I see a stream
I sit and listen to your calming voice
It feels as though I don’t even have a choice
Every time you fall, travel, stay
I am pretty sure you know your way
I see you every single day
Seeing you through my window, in my sink, anywhere
You might be there
Thank you for being everywhere
From the person who sees you a lot,
Ethan Dicker
Thank you for providing a liquid to drink
Thank you for glittering brilliantly
Thank you for being there to calm me
Sometimes I see a stream
I sit and listen to your calming voice
It feels as though I don’t even have a choice
Every time you fall, travel, stay
I am pretty sure you know your way
I see you every single day
Seeing you through my window, in my sink, anywhere
You might be there
Thank you for being everywhere
From the person who sees you a lot,
Ethan Dicker
(Recording of my poem)
In closing I want to share: this poem was helping me get through this time of Covid-19. Just working on this and thinking how it would make other people feel made me feel calm. That is why I made this poem about water. I think water if you really pay attention to it, it can make you feel calm.
Thank all of you for listening!
THANK YOU ALL FOR LISTENING!
Try to stay calm
