This book impacted us because it taught about the history of disability rights. We learned that people with disabilities were discriminated against and treated terribly just for having a disability. This impacted us because we saw first hand injustice and the fight it took to gain justice.

This book impacted us by opening our eyes to the difficulties faced when trying to get the Disabilities Rights Act passed. Specifically the life of Judith Huemann, we learned about her life story and it showed us personal struggles that were unique to Judith. Hearing her life story impacted us greatly!

This book impacted us by making us want to be a part of the fight for disability rights! We understand that great strides have been made in history but there are still leaps that need to be made for disability rights!
