The setting in Dancing hands is in a big town where the two 10 year old girls are from there are a lot of hills where the girls can dream about their future. The girls go to the park where they can look around and play and talking with sign language. Mai takes Sam to the pond/ to the beach to teach her a word for the pond.

There are two girls who are about 10 years old and there names are Mai and Sam and they are connected through Filipino sign language that is how the two girls speak to each other. Mai teaches sign language to Sam so she can learn how to speak with sign language to get to know each other more. The more and more the girls felt comfortable with each other they can start slowly to become friends. The girls got to hang out more together so they can touch each other's hearts so now they are best friends and . Mai and Sam were talking to each other with sign language about their dreams Mai tells Sam that she wants to be a teacher so she can teach other's about sign language and then Sam tells Mai that she wants to help protect the community and the earth by supporting people about life, goals, dreams, passions and their aspirations.
