By Francesca, Oriana, ThomasHI! He is Raphael and today he'll take you with him, to discover what is happening to our planet.
Climate change affects countries on all continents. It is disrupting national economies, with high cost today for people, communities and countries, and which will be even more serious tomorrow.
Target 13 provides for helping all countries to recover and adapt to climate-related risks and natural disasters; it wants to make politics take an interest in strategies for tackling climate change.
The ocean, an expanse of blue water, is becoming the landfill of the Earth. Since plastic is non-biodegradable material, it risks being eaten by whales, seagulls ... At the same time, waste can return to the land and pollute beaches and other coastal areas.
Every year from 4.8 to 12.7 million tons of plastic waste ends up in the sea. The waters are also polluted by fishermen who lose their nets in the open sea or throw broken boats.
so what would we do to improve it?
for example:
- properly recycle plastic
- do not throw cigarette butts on the ground or into the sea
- limit the use of plates, cutlery and plastic cups
- organize beach cleaning

Environmental pollution means the presence of polluting elements throughout the natural environment. So it includes not only the atmosphere but also the water and the ground. These elements can be of any kind: gas, dust, but also noise and vibrations.
In recent years, the topic of environmental pollution has been dealt with frequently. It represents a degradation factor for the environment and a serious danger to health.
