Andre Romelle Young, was born on February 18, 1965 in L.A. He is known as Dr. Dre, who is an American rapper, audio engineer, record producer, and entrepreneur.

Dr. Dre struggled at Centennial High School in Compton, where his poor grades led to a transfer to Fremont High School in LA.
He is the founder and CEO of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats By Dre and previously co-founded, co-owned, and was the president of Death Row Records.

Dr. Dre has been instrumental in launching the careers of numerous hip-hop and rap artists. He acted as a track producer for many of the artists on Ruthless Records, a venture he started up with Eazy-E.
