Daniel OhTenochtitlan, Central America 1428 CE
After a brutal battle, the Aztec warriors return home. Some warriors died while protecting their people. Yaotl, a jaguar warrior, decided to kill plenty of opponents. He was meant to hurt them and then take them to Temple Mayor to be sacrificed to the gods. The gods think he's clumsy.
Yaotl thinks of what he's done as he enjoys his atole and tortillas.
To make atole, a traditional hot drink, cocoa beans were dried, grounded, and mixed with water.
Tortillas were made from maize and acted as spoons and forks.
Yaotl took his macuahuitl and joined other jaguar warriors. Jaguar warriors are highly regarded and serve in the military's most elite forces. When they aren't battling, they patrol Tenochtitlan, making sure everything is in order and gathering offerings for the gods.
Tenochtitlan is in good working order, and the jaguar warriors have returned home. Yaotl, on the other hand, remains behind, unsure about whether to return home or visit Temple Mayor.
Go home(pg.5) or go to Temple Mayor(pg.6)
Choice:Go Home
If the gods weren't mad at you before, they surely are now! You once disobeyed them by killing enemies rather than sacrificing them. Then, instead of making it right, you go home. This is not appropriate conduct.
The gods have stopped raising the sun as a punishment. You are to blame for the Aztecs' demise. You went to Mictlan, the underworld.
Ruler of the Underworld:
Mictlantecuhtli
