Hi there! I am so glad that you are back! Today, we will begin to learn some simple addition. I don't want you to let that word scare you. It is just a fancy way to say that we are putting groups of things together to see how many are there. Practice this book with me and I just know that you will get better every single time. Are you ready?

This is the addition sign. It means to put things together.

This is an equals sign. It means what you get when you add the numbers together.

We will be using the numbers 0-9. I will show you what the math problem looks like with numbers and with cute little animals. There may be a time when I show you a math problem with numbers and use a picture of a favorite food. There is one kind of math problem that I love and it is adding chocolate chip cookies together!!
