Dear North Families & Friends,We hope this virtual choir show finds you and your loved ones in good health! We are so happy to be able to share this collection of ensemble and solo-work pieces with you all tonight. The first song is our collaborative ensemble piece, "Once Upon A December," where all of the students learned their separate voice parts and recorded them into Soundtrap to resemble what it feels and sounds like to be singing in community again. The remainder of solo-work pieces were selected and performed by the students to reflect the winter season.
This semester has been challenging to say the least. We have navigated through all kinds of technical, communicative, and musical problems but have come out stronger and more equipped than ever! Students in Concert Choir have been using various platforms throughout the semester, including, Soundtrap (audio engineering & recording), Sight Reading Factory (music literacy skills), and Bookcreator (performance/showcase).
This virtual show is organized in the platform, Bookcreator. In this format, you are able to go at your own pace and explore each page of music when it best fits your schedule. The students put a lot of time and creative energy into making this virtual show come to life for you! We encourage you to make some hot cocoa, grab a soft blanket, curl up on the couch with your family, and enjoy the show!
