ARTISAN MAKER
A DESIGNER AT HEART
I often push the limits of possibility through the process of design and creation. By not fearing failure, I learn to be vulnerable and take risks.

Communities that foster artisan makers are vibrant.

For me, artisanship is both a form of coming alive and a function of staying alive. I cook, I carve, I cut & paste, and I click over and over again.

EXPEDITION MINDED
TOGETHER WE THRIVE
I spent 13 days surviving the backcountry of the Adirondack Mountains in New York state during my final year of secondary school.

Communities that share in tough times are resilient.

The expedition shaped how I view my place on a team and began the development of my expeditionary mindset; multi-functional, curious, and resourceful.

WANDERING BUT NOT LOST
Loading...
I seek adventure to find who I am when it really matters. I climb mountains, I swim in open waters, and I've jumped out of airplanes.

Communities need wanderers that seek adventure and return stronger.

Nothing is permanent in life and we all find our way and make meaning from what we find. The journey of life is the destination.

EQUITY BUILDER
ACCESS FOR ALL
Many students today struggle to escape the injustices of a system designed to hold them back.

Strengthening creativity skills and access to the technologies and people that foster them is one way that communities come together to create equity.

I supported Hampton City Schools teachers and students in the initial rollout of more than 12,000 iPads, a 1:1 initiative funded by grants from the state of Virginia.

The result was a student population with access to the same tools for creativity and learning as everyone else.
