IsaiBiography and Artist Statement
My name is Isaias Milnes. I am a Beginner music producer in High school as of 2020. Music has always been a big part of my life ever since I was little. I don't know why, but there is just something about music that has always just stuck with me. During middle school I was in Orchestra and then switched to Band during 8th grade and continued it during my freshman year. I am very grateful to have taken the opportunity to be in an audio production class and exercise my creativity but through my music.
My music style is mainly Hip-Hop, Rap, and R&B. With all my music I usually have an idea for what I am going for and looking for in a beat, but with all my beats, I develop them as I go. My music is intended for those who have similar taste as I do and don't have a set genre from one of the Big Three I mentioned. Artists who have influenced me and are for sure some my favorites are Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, The Weeknd and 42 Dugg. I enjoy their music a lot and they never disappoint. This album is about believing in yourself and having confidence in what you do. I want this album to let others know that there are beginnings in life and don't be afraid to start somewhere. You can only improve as you go
Blow the Speakers
This is my favorite track. I get "Slow Jam" vibes from this song but with a Big modern twist. I wanted it to sound loud and make you want to turn up the speakers all the way. I want this song to let people know be proud of yourself. Speak High of yourself. You deserve the same validation you give others.
DeNva Song
This song is dedicated to my city where I am from, Denver, Colorado. This song is dedicated to the natives who's families have been here for as long as they can remember. It is dedicated to those who have seen and know the Good, Bad, and the Ugly and are still proud to call this city home.
Whats Next
Believe it or not this song was actually suppose to be "Blow the Speakers" before that song even got its name. This was the first version of the song but I felt discouraged at first. I didn't like it the way it sounded so I started to change the track up and that is how "Blow the Speakers" came about. After revisiting this track I decided to include it into this project. I want this song to let people know that not everything has to go in a perfect order. Just because you may not like the way things are now, doesn't mean it wont get better in the future.
Acknowledgements
I want to acknowledge my friend Maya. She has taken this class before and always talks about how fun it was. Although my experience is very different then hers, I Thank her for listening to me and watching me grow in this class.
I want to acknowledge my Nina and Uncle. If it weren't for them welcoming me in their home all the time, my love music wouldn't be the same. It only grows more and more every time I am there because of the different genres of music from all ages that are playing.
