My name is Andres Martinez. Born in Inglewood California, but raised in Denver Co. This Ep Album is based on a story of life. Starting with some terrible accident leading to someone passing away. Highlighting, the process of confusion, anger, sadness, and grief... and it is for people that have dealt with anything similar to this feeling. Similar to any human on this planet, we live and die. I created it thinking about every piece being connected somehow. I make music that is like electro-pop type sound. I made previous singles named, "Confusion", "Run??" and more. Another single named "collab anthem" ft TyShawn Thompson and Jose Ordonez. When thinking about the song, I already have a story for it. What color it is, the smell, the temperature, the texture, shape, everything. Some of the tracks that inspired the Life Ep album was a song named high enough by K.Flay. The instrumentals of the song. Another song named, heaven by an artist named FINNEAS.

1)Took n' Lost

Took n' Lost is about a young man that gets in a terrible car accident. The process of his soul leaving his body is an intense sound wave of craziness and sadness for those left on earth. He travels through life and death to enter heaven, he struggles to find his way due to his soul not wanting to leave earth itself. The base and the percussion in the song give it its sound sense of tension and adventure, which is why I did not want to overdue its sounds by adding anything more than hidden kick drums, bass, percussion, and effects. Feelings of darkness and chill.

The song is part 2 of Took 'n Lost. Where now it's from the point of view of his family and friends, who are left to grieve for their loved one. In the bigging of the song, it's the sound of a compressed piano highlighting the part of let's say, the funeral and the feeling for the deceased. Keeping the same note from the bigging. Each set of sounds like an irritating base and the flute with Fx effects give a sense of feeling. Like the flute would be yellow, which is hope. The base is blue meaning sadness. I went with these sound choices because they put together a piece of a puzzle in the story. Having Synesthesia the sound relates to the tone and mood of the story.

HEAVEN

After a journey of life and death. The young man feels a sense of peace as he then knows where is. Now knowing that only a few seconds in the in-between is years after on earth. His family. His parents, Brothers begin to start of life from scratch. Which is what the man wanted. He didn't want them to grieve forever. He wanted them to be happy as he then knew he wouldn't return back to life. After feeling piece he sits in a bunk and tries to feel content and peaceful. Tried to feel life itself as it did, once more now in "HEAVEN". Once more did I use a compressor and an equalizer for the beginning Fx affected loop of Xylophone in the two parts of the song. I used it because it seemed the way it would in the main character's point of view. It fit due to it sounding like a reflection of life type sound. I enjoyed it because it also sounded like water. There is also a kick, choir vocal, and piano key loop that gives innocence and clarity to the song.
