I can live for 30 to 50 years. Some sea turtles can live up to 150 years!

People use a lot of plastic. The plastic ends up in the ocean. Then sea turtles like me eat it because it looks like food.

When we eat the plastic it can affect our digestive system and make it so that we cannot eat.

Since it is summer and I have mated I will go back to the beach were I was born and I will lay my eggs.

I will lay up to 100 eggs. If it is hot most of the sea turtles will be girls and if it is cold then most of the sea turtles will be boys.

Individually Host beach clean ups. Buy things without packaging. Use reusable water bottles. Try and reuse plastic objects. Bring reusable bags to the grocery store.

Small Group Make an adobe spark encouraging businesses to use less plastic.

make fliers with facts about marine polution.The fliers should also have simple ways you can help.For example: about 8,000,000 pieces of trash get in the ocean each day. but you can help.Try to use reusable water bottles instead of plastic ones. From union street charter school.

 Make fliers for restaurants that say "stop using plastic straws, use paper".

After I got out of my nest I had to make it through a lot of predators like birds, crabs, fire ants, and dogs before I could get to the water.

When I grow up I can grow to be 3 to 4 feet long.

I really like eating jellyfish. Sometimes we sea turtles mistake plastic bags for jellyfish and eat them. Then it sometimes gets stuck inside of us and we starve to death. Do not eat weird looking jellyfish!

I made a mad dash to the water. Will I make It? There are lots of predators so my chances of survival are low.

Some food that I like are algae, small crustaceans, and seagrass.

I got lost because I thought city lights were the moon so I went to the city instead of the water. That left me out in the open for a long time. Easy prey for a predator. Luckily I survived and made it back to the beach.

First I will dig a big hole with my flippers.

Another big danger for me is holes. I saw my clutch mate fall into one. I didn't stay around to see what happened.

It took me about 7 days to get out of my egg and nest. Only 1 out of 1,000 or 1 out of 10,000 eggs will hatch.

 When a sea turtle is mating the male will hold on to the shell of the female very tightly so he doesn't fall off. The weight of another sea turtle on your back is very annoying and can be very hard to take, and believe me, I know.

Another danger to sea turtles is they are sometimes caught in nets, this is usualy not on purpose but it can be. when the sea turtles get caught they are sometimes to stuck to get out or are inured from the net. 

Another threat to sea turtles is that we are sometimes caught in nets. This hasn't happened to me and it usually doesn't happen on purpose but it is possible. When we get caught, we sometimes can't get out or we are injured.
