Mayas played a ball game to decide who had to be sacrified.

The game consisted of putting a stone sphere into some rings that were on a wall.

In the middle of construction, there was an authentic gold statue. They think that the estatue needs to be iluminated with fire, because if it isn´t iluminated it looses his powers.

The Chichén Itzá is in Yucatán Mexico. It was a ceremonial center. It was built by the Mayas in the 6th century.
