“Follow me into this war. I promise it’ll be the last one so draw your sword ,ride your horse and charge at the enemy with me!” His king yelled, at all of the surrounding knights on the battleground. These words made every soldiers strong like they could defeat a whole country by themselves. Lancelot, moved by the words of his king, jumped on his horse, grabbed his sword, and charged into the battlefield not knowing what was waiting for him on the other side of the hill. All of the other knights followed Lancelot, you could hear theirs scream of rage they were throwing for their kingdom. When he arrived at the peak of the hill Lancelot froze. What was waiting down the hill were not knights from the southern kingdom but civilians from his own home. He stopped, but the others didn’t, they did not recognize their own because they were dressed as warriors. But Lancelot knew they were not knights because he saw his brothers who were supposed to be dead. One day when Lancelot came home he found his mother crying on the floor and the king consoling her. He asked what was the matter, his mom looked at him like she wanted to say something but the king spoke first. “Your brothers went into the forest to play and were killed by some knights from the southern kingdom”. From there Lancelot followed the king to make sure an incident like his brothers wouldn’t happen again. But now looking down the hill he was questioning the whole thing. Why were his brothers there, why did the king tell the knights they were going up against the southern kingdom, why was there no army but civilians? Every time a new question popped in his head the knights were getting closer. He was hoping that they would soon see what they were charging at, but they didn’t.
