A rainy Monday morning, Melissa wakes up. Yesterday she had a big argument with her husband. As usual it ended in a fight. They were probably going to ignore each other for a few days like they usually do. Melissa decided to take the week off work and go on a small road trip with her best friend. They both got ready and left so they could spend as much time as possible away from the city and away from her husband. Where they were going the phone service wasn’t good, and there wasn’t a lot of wifi or phone service. So they both decided to take a break from their phones and focus on themselves. It had now been 2 days since Melissa and her husband had talked. started to get weird since he still hadn’t sent her any messages or called her. Both of them knew they were unhappy but both were unable to talk about it. Since he hadn’t contacted her, she decided one night to go to a small bar with her friend. After waiting for a message all night, she started to get really mad and was wondering what was he doing on his side. After being scared for a while of him doing something they would both regret, she decided to send him a message. After 2 days, Melissa was still waiting for a response and started to overthink more than she ever did and decided to go back home. They started packing and got back on the road for the next 3 hours. Suddenly a big storm arrived. It was extremely windy and the roads were way too slippery but even though Melissa and her friends were getting scared. She wanted to get back home to see what was going on. For the next 45 minutes the storm hadn’t stopped and the roads were getting more and more dangerous. There were big trucks and a lot of accidents every few miles. All of a sudden, Melissa started to lose control of the car when a big truck crashed in the back of the car. The car started to slip to spin and finally crash into a tree. After a few minutes Melissa and her friends were brought to the emergency. Melissa's husband heard the news after someone called him. He rushed to the hospital but it was too late. He started regretting every message he almost sent but didn’t and every message from Melissa he hadn’t answered because of his ego. He never thought their lack of communication would make him feel like this. He couldn’t believe the last time they talked was during a fight.Every month after her sad death,he would go to Melissa's grave and right her letters as a way to say sorry.
