Ted and Max were flying through space with nothing but each other and a worn-out backpack. They could just about see the earth as the uncomfortably bumpy asteroid they were seated on flew through a sea of stars. Ted was radiating with excitement. He could hear his heart beating through his chest but held back his nerves from taking over. Max was in a gentle slumber on Ted's lap, unaware as to what was about to take place. As the asteroid approached the earth, Ted snatched the patchwork parachute that he had made from his old clothes out of his backpack and attached it to himself. As Ted and Max approached the ground, Ted noticed that the many people flooded on the streets weren't moving their lips as they went about their business. Ted could hear their thoughts. What had Ted started?
