As the silence was settling on the bog, an animal was feeling more stressed than the others. While it was not the first time that a frog was stressed since most small animals live in constant fear of being eaten by bigger ones, but we could say that on this particular night it seems it was justified.

Whilst this storm of emotions was unfolding inside her head, we could see a fox lurking in the shadows, his body ready to pounce like a furious lion and his jaw preparing to unhinge beastly force around the frail body of the frog. The fox was approaching silently, still covered in the blood of a small rabbit it had previously killed. He was hungry for more blood. He wanted to see more fear in the eyes of its victims.

When the moment finally presented itself, the fox jumped to try and bite the frog. As soon as he realized his mouth was empty, he jumped again but the frog was long gone and he needed to find her again. The frog jumping the fastest her small body could, trying to get away. Unfortunately, in the silence of the dark and cold night every sound is easily identifiable and so the small and dry twig she just stepped on was what would cause her demise. Upon hearing this small audio information, the fox, now oozing from bloodlust, ran as fast as he could to the location of the sound, appearing nose to nose in front of the frog. In this exact moment it was possible to see the beauty of nature and the cycle of life. Two opposite ends of the spectrum on the food chain, on one side a weak and frail frog and on the other a much stronger carnivorous fox. The fox opened its jaw, approaching closer to the frog, and right before he could close it, all of the bog heard a single sound. A sound like thunder echoed through the forest. The frog looked up, and all she saw was a hand grabbing her and the now-dead fox body. We could say that this night a hunter would have a nice meal for supper.
