The anchored blade
A long time ago, in medieval Europe, a small village called Stagbury was full of villagers inspired with happiness and working very hard every day to make the life at their village better. Everyone including children had jobs to do to help the village develop. In the small town, an old mage called Ezekiel and his young apprentice Merlin looked for any dangers that may reach Stagbury. One day Ezekiel and Merlin went on an expedition to look for golden berries in the depths of the woods to help them make healing potions, not too far away they perceived a sword at the top of a mountain that was profoundly dark.

As they came back to Stagbury, gossip about the sword began and an old myth was found in Ezekiel's bookshelf and said: 'Yore, a blade from the highest places of the sky sank on a mountain, the blade was fully bright and shined in the darkest moments of the dead of night. Over time, when conflicts between humans began, their hearts were spreading with darkness and corruption, and the blade translated the darkness of earth on itself by changing its look to a miserable and forbidding dark.'

The next day, they went back to examine the blade on the mountain, but a troop that didn't seem neighbourly to Stagbury surrounded the rock, and each one of them tried their utmost to extract the blade, yet they did not achieve their objective. Seeing them, Ezekiel and Merlin went running to the village and warned the Stagburians, they prepared for an excursion leaving behind some villagers that would take care of Stagbury. By night when most of earthlings' souls quit their bodies, the sword shone in the gloom of night as if the darkness stopped wandering around earth and light came again. Merlin hesitated to act, however Ezekiel tried his best at taking the sword out of the rock but he didn't have enough strength.

They set a camp not far from the mountain, and rested. Merlin and Ezekiel stayed awake and wandered around the forest. At the same time the troops from last time perceived the Stagburians and decided to capture them and lock them in an old stronghold. Merlin and Ezekiel went to observe from very far where the Stagburians were locked and tried to break in. Unfortunately the forces of evil caught Ezekiel and executed him. In another part of the myth about the sword, it tells that if the forces of evil will be able to take it out from the mountain, the earth will be filled with corruption and will stay that way, so Merlin decided to take his chance to save the world.

As he goes back to the mountain, he prepares himself to extract the sword. He pulled the grip of the sword, as he did so the rock on which it was anchored started breaking down, and after a few more efforts he finally took out the sword, bright sparkles started to appear, along with a big wave of light covering the earth and cleaning it from anything evil and dark. Corruption, injustice, inequality, crime, prejudice and mistreatment dissolved out from the earth, but was it for ever? Will earth still be full of justice and morality or will heroes of destiny like Merlin disappear one day and the earth will become dark again?
