This summer will be very special for Chandler, definitely! He is a professional surfer that dreams to become the best surfer in the world. However, there is that guy named Ross, that is considered to be the best surfer in the United States. He has participated in many tournaments and championships since he was 10 years old, and on every occasion, he won. No one could beat Ross.
Due to their success, both of them were classified to the World Surf Championship, which is taking place in Hawaii. Chandler was very happy and excited when he received the news but, he immediately thought about having to face Ross in the finals.
The day of the competition has arrived. The competitors are already in the sea. Both Chandler and Ross stand out in the first stage. Then, in the semi-finals, Ross was able to win with a certain facility. Chandler struggled but was able to catch a beautiful wave that led him to the so expected final, against the so feared Ross.
While Chandler was very nervous and keyed up, Ross had on his mind that it would be easy, that he was already the champion. Fortunately, Chandler caught the first wave, and that was a pretty good one. It gave him confidence and hope. After the first wave, he was able to surf many others. Ross was not expecting this from Chandler at all, so concerned about Chandler's ability, in the middle of the section, Ross got so nervous that he could not catch any wave. The World Surf Championship was over. Chandler gave a surf lesson for everybody and deserved that title. He also showed that you do not have to be scared of your opponents if you do your job well and willingly no-one can stop you from chasing your dreams.
