Alone With a Spy

I woke up to see no one near. I looked at the time. It was 9 am. I got out of bed; I made my breakfast and got ready to go. I started walking towards the office. I tried to explain my situation to my boss but she said “No money this week and get out of my face”. I said nothing because I had no choice. I went to my desk and started doing the daily things. I went to give my boss the work she asked for but he didn’t even say a word. All she did was look at me and pointed on the table. I went out, and I tried saying “Hi” to the others in the office but it was like I wasn’t there. I left feeling bad. I went back to the apartment. I was cleaning because I am trying to get a roommate because I am just bored with being nobody. I needed somebody to talk to. After I finished cleaning it was about 6pm and there was a knock at the door. I opened the door, I saw a tall man with long curly hair. He said “Hey, my name is Preston”. “You must be the new roommate here” I said. “Yeah, I am.” he replied. “Come in.” I said. I showed him around the neighbourhood. I asked what he does for a living. He said, “I have been working on a project. If it works I can be rich and maybe you can help me around finding stuff that I need for my project.” We talked for the rest of the day. I knew we had a lot of things in common. The next morning I woke up to see somebody walking around and it was only 4 am. I went to see who it was, and I saw Preston doing stuff on his computer. I asked “What are you doing?'' He said “The job.” I sat beside him and saw what he was doing. I said “What kind of job do you have?” He said nothing. I went back to bed. I woke up and he was still working. I got ready to get out. This time. I talked to no one. The day ended but I was still thinking about what he was doing. Months went by and I still knew nothing about his job. He left once for a short time. I went to his room and opened his computer. As soon as I opened it, it was empty so I left and went to my room. Soon after he came he called out my name so loud “LUKE!!!” I came to his room and said nothing because I knew what he was going to say, but he said something that he shouldn’t have said. He said “MY SPY WORK IS ALL GONE NOW BECAUSE OF YOU!” After he realized he shouldn’t have said that. “Wait, what? You’re a spy?” I said. “Well not, um, ah, ya. Listen, this thing is dangerous for you and me so don’t say anything.” “Okay, I am sorry that I ruined your project. I can help redo it.” I said. Luke quit his job and started working with Preston. They worked on their project day and night. They became the owners of the company Computers. Luke found a house for him and his wife, as well as Preston they had their own lives and they are best friends.
