It was freezing cold, rain and fog, this is what Jake the lone survivor said. The police kept asking lots of questions and he had no answer. How did it happen? Why? Too many questions for a boy who wondered even more than the police. It took a month to figure out. The car had a mechanism problem and the brakes stopped working. Now he's all alone. He lives with that aunt but he is alone. for a whole month, Jake wondered how this could have happened. He even had to start believing his father was drunk when he got behind the wheel. Jake was sure that knowing the truth would make everything better, but no. "just a car accident" is what the police told him. Jake was starting to think that if it had been murder it would have been easier, but no. A simple car accident, no one to blame. No one can understand how a person can change at this point. Jake was happy, sociable, how can we change that much. Jake's aunt realized after several months that Jake was no longer Jake, he was just a shadow of himself. She doesn't understand, she also lost that sister in the accident so why did she manage to turn the page, why? she decided to send Jake to school. But Jake decided otherwise by hitting one of his friends in the face. After only 3 days Jake was kicked out of school, then another, then another. then one morning Jake had a revelation. This world is ****** up, he says. Why would I have to live in it? Still so many questions. but this time if he had an answer, he didn't have to live in this world. This is how Jake, at 5:50 pm, was on the edge of a cliff. At 5:55 pm Jake was in tears he didn't know what to do. Finally at 6 p.m. Jake was gone. But he opened his eyes anyway. The time was not the same, it indicated 7 am. Jake's mother walked into his room and told him he's going to be late. She apologizes for their argument the night before, he took this mother to his bars and cried. At this point Jake realizes that we only have two lives and that our second begins when we realize that we only have one.
