All of Moon Cove was dead. Only crusty ground, and black sky was left of it. This was how it was for many years. Until Luna was born.
She had long, straight blonde hair like an angel, dark brown eyes in the shape of almonds, and peach skin. She was an ordinary child.
But she had magic inside her heart.
Magic inside her brain.
Magic that could bring back worlds, realms, the past.
Many years ago, Moon Cove was beautiful. Trees with juicy fruits, lush grass, flowers of different varieties. There was also a rare Moonstone flower, created by the moonstone rains that happened every month. But all of that was gone, and Luna was determined to bring it back with her magic, for she longed to see the pretty Moon Cove. She had heard tales about it from other people. The sad people on Moon Cove.
One day, when she felt hopeless, when nothing felt possible, Luna stood on the middle of the magical planet. She closed her eyes lightly, and imagined what Moon Cove would look like. Green grass, forest animals, many trees, flowers, and Moonstone rains. Life.
As she thought about this, hues of green and blue swirled around her gently.
And suddenly, from seedling to buds, a flower sprouted out of the crusted ground, like a butterfly bursting out of its chrysalis. Even though Luna's eyes were closed, she sensed the flower growing right next to her. It was a quiet sensation, like a small whisper.
As she felt that, hope filled her heart. Grass sprouted out of the ground instantaneously and danced in the breeze as trees grew out of the ground in a split second. The crusted ground cracked, and crystal clear water flowed through the cracks. River and lakes. The sky was brightening, and the sun appeared from behind a cloud. Suddenly, hoots of owls, howls of wolves, the chirping of birds, and the hopping of bunnies filled her ears. Animals were born. Moon Cove was full now. The world it used to be was back again. She opened her eyes and smiled joyfully. It looked exactly how Luna pictured it. Finally, after many years, Moon Cove was saved.
