“Let me tell you the tale of the woman who disappeared. It all began in 1989, when a sweet, little baby was born, bustling with excitement and dreams. She was called Taylor and, at the age of 14, her family moved to a bigger town, to follow her passion for music, signing a contract with a promising label. Thrilled about how the plan was working out, she released her first country album. After releasing her fifth album, she was under so much pressure that she no-one saw her for months. Reappearing stronger than ever, she released her sixth album.
During those moths she met a very special man, named Joe, with whom she kept a secret relationship. Taylor continued to release music, finally finding true happiness. She was living the best years of her life, but when she turned 31, she decided that she wanted a different lifestyle. On the 13th of January of that year, they both disappeared and no-one ever saw them again. The legend says that they both headed to a small stone house, covered in ivy, and lived happily ever after,” I told her, full of passion. Her face lit up, imagining the life of these two mystery people, living in the fantasy of youth. The chimney was on fire, providing the everlasting homey scent of the cottage, and glowing red to light the room. Three cats laid asleep on the rug before it, spread out comfortably on the floor. From outside I could hear the faint sound of a playing guitar, with a strong, masculine voice singing along to it.
The night grew darker and the stars became more visible, as the light from the world faded away. We both sat on the couch, in front of the fireplace, legs crossed, covered by blankets. The little girl filled with curiosity, her eyes were wide open and waiting to hear more; she began wonder what could happen next in the story. I stroked her blonde soft hair, enjoying the experience. It was time for her to leave, so I took her to the door, where her mother awaited.
“See you soon…Taylor”
