3050, we call it The New Step. We'd known about alien existence for about 10 centuries. We’d been on good terms with them the entire time, both being on each side without bothering the other. It was thus until we’d received information about their military warping towards Earth’s location. Whilst being multiple lightyears away, warping that distance doesn’t take long but their pending presence was already weighing on our shoulders. They didn’t need any of their population to operate their military, whilst on our side, we had some automation but it was nowhere close to theirs, we’d stand no chance. We had prototypes in testing, but even those were very late technologically compared to  the Xenomorphs. 

There used to be an old saying, nobody knows it’s origins or if it’s the truth but it’s still being told around and known. It was about the end of humanity, an absurd way of ending the Earth, entirely. Everything would be wiped out to the core, nothing left but space dust… 

Questions were being asked as the news went around, World. They were coming, not just for peace. To end it all. That wasn’t proven, we’d never seen them, yet it was only hypothetically. Multiple thoughts like that one were being told, some more popular than others, but the real question was were we safe? Was Earth safe enough? Was that saying true? So many questions yet no answers could be proven… 

Thus the times changed. They should’ve arrived days before, the pressure was growing lighter. But nobody knew the truth. What if there was one, but what if there wasn’t one? Well, we have no idea, but from one second to another the sun became way brighter than usual. It was very blinding to look at it’s sheer mass dominated in your field of view. Then... emptiness…
