Morpho sat at his desk, staring intently at the teacher. Cinder's crown was one of his favorite subjects. Suddenly, Silver put one wing around Morpho. "Hey!" He protested, "I have to learn the history of Magma and Cinder's crown!" Silver's grip didn't loosen. Instead, she gripped his shoulders harder and led him out into the courtyard of the school. "Morpho... I think it's time you learned his true past." Her eyes were blank, and glassy, and it seemed as though she was caught into the past. "Close your eyes, and imagine a world of pure chaos, shortly after Cinder's supposed death." As Morpho did so, he said, "That's how the story's my teacher says start... Just, they word it a little differently." He felt something whoosh around him, cold and distant. "All right, you can open your eyes now." As Silver's wings unraveled from him, he opened his eyes and gasped. Standing in front of him was Magma. "H- T- that's-" He started to stammer, but Sliver stopped him. "Don't be afraid. This is all a distant memory. He cannot see you." "Why would I be afraid? It's the great king Magma!" Morpho was confused. Magma was never scary, the scrolls -and his subjects- said so. He most definetly wasn't evil. So why was Silver saying such things? "Where is my brother?" Magma suddenly barked at one of his soldiers. "He was supposed to be here with Cinder hours ago!" "But sir," The soldier said nervously, "You sent him very few minutes ago. I doubt he could have gotten Cinder here by now!" Magma narrowed his eyes at the soldier. "Very well." He flicked his tongue at the soldier in disgust. "Get him out of my sight." As the guards dragged the soldier away, he heard Magma quietly mutter to himself. "If my brother won't bring me Cinder to kill so I can take his place... I will have to find him and kill him myself." A cold chill went down Morpho's spine. He now realized why Silver thought he was afraid. Magma was evil.
