Writing challenge - 1-page stories

Stephanie and Thomas crept down the stairs at 3 am to an unusual sound, As they neared the sound they saw it was coming from the window in the basement. 6 year old Thomas was too scared to walk down the stairs so he went back to bed. Stephanie, being 13 and concerned&#160;for her brother's safety, decides to go down stairs ,as she got closer to the sound it got louder and louder. She bravely walked up to the window, trying her hardest not to make too much noise, she gently lifted up the blind to find a small animal and she noticed, from further inspection, it was a cat! She brought the cat inside and cleaned it up a bit and it looked wonderful. Stephanie soon after went to bed, and the cat slept beside her.
