Jimmy always was a bit of a loner. He had friends but never for long. He moved around a lot when he was younger because his parents always needed to find a job. This didn’t help his situation. His father was an alcoholic and he would beat Jimmy and his mother. When he was fourteen he and his family moved to Florida. He had become increasingly depressed since the start of his teen years. his parents didn’t help. They were too busy with their problems. Jimmy had a rough start at his new school, he was bullied for being skinny and having a stutter. He didn’t like his school and he started skipping class, but one day he met a girl, her name was Alice. She was so kind and very pretty. Jimmy liked her a lot. She was the only person he talked to. He trusted her. Jimmy tried to talk about her to his parents but his father laughed at him and his mother didn’t care. He felt alone in this world with only Alice at his side. He started coming back to school. The days started feeling more bearable. It helped that Alice was at the same school. After school, they would go to the park together and hang out. They would talk about anything and everything. Jimmy felt so happy when he was with her. He was in love. He tried telling her but he got too scared. Soon the bullies at school found out about their relationship and they started making jokes about Alice, they would say “she doesn’t like you loser, no one does” or “you know she doesn’t like you right” they would even call her ugly just to spite him. This would piss off but eventually, Alice would calm him down. The bullies would start picking on Alice more and more. Sometimes Jimmy couldn’t protect her because he wasn’t always there. It became worse every day, Alice also started skipping class. Jimmy would try and reach out to her but to no avail. One day she stopped coming to school entirely. She had killed herself. Jimmy was heartbroken. He had lost his reason to live.
