A few weeks ago, I moved to a new apartment. It was small, dark because there was a big building in front of the windows that covered the sunlight and it wasn't in a good neighborhood but the appartement was still comfortable and cheap. After quickly packing the small bagages I had brought from my past house, I knocked on my neighbors’ door in order to introduce myself. The people here were friendly enough even though there was this strange man who was renting an apartment one floor above mine and he told me about a young girl who lived in my apartment before but she passed away because of a fire 17 years ago. A few days after I moved in, I started noticing some odd things. I’d wake up in the middle of the night because Siri was answering a question, but I was completely alone and usually I never use Siri. I was always sure that it was just a technical problem so I was not worried about that. But one day I received a picture of myself sleeping from an unknown number and the problem is that I live alone so no one could take the picture. When I called the number, a robotic voice said that it was disconnected 17 years ago. I was really confused and scared, so I decided to go see my neighbor who told me about this girl, but his door was barricaded with some wooden planks and no one was answering. Someone who lives on the same floor said that he moved 3 days ago which was strange because he lived here approximately 23 years. After the conversations with my neighbors I called my friend to distract myself from this incident and to show him my new apartment. When he arrived, I decided to go to the kitchen and make some tea. When I came back to where he was sitting, he told me that he met my sister and was surprised I had one, the problem is that I’m the only child in my family. What’s more, I live alone.
