It was early in the morning and the sun was beginning to rise. Even so, those soft rays of sunlight, which passed through the window of Elie's room, were enough to make her open her eyes with excitement. She jumped out of bed because it would be her first day at work. Her little home lost in the forest surrounded by plants of all kinds and fairies who loved to play with her when she was just a child was a bit far from the town where she worked. Elie was soon getting ready. As she left her little home, she said goodbye to the fairies. She entered the forest and began to walk briskly along the signposted path that would lead to the village.

Halfway through, she began to hear some noises coming from some animal that was approaching her, but she did not pay attention as she knew that there should be no dangerous animals in the area. She continued on her way, but those steps kept feeling closer and closer and seemed to be following her. She was starting to feel worried a bit, but she still believed that she was exaggerating . Suddenly, behind and in front of her came a dozen wolves that began to growl at her, making her understand that she was their prey. Terrified by the situation, she would try to find an opening to get out, but being surrounded by them, no escape by land was possible. Luckily, Elie was able to climb one of the solid branches on top of her. The wolves grouped and some jumped to try to reach her. The girl jumped from the branch to the ground as far as she could and began to run as she had never done before, but the wolves kept running behind her and didn't seem to be exhausted. Elie kept running and running…

Some days after, in the town, some missing posters , of a girl that lives in the forest nearby, were put in the walls of the street. With time, those posters withered and faded, as did the town’s memory of that lost girl.
