Introduction
Have you ever wanted your learners to understand and share who they are, how they learn and what they aspire to be? Imagine every learner able to share both their strengths and challenges, preference and needs using a common language about their learning? Imagine if they were able to share their stories with you, their classmates and their parents?

This profile template is part of the 3-Step Empower the Learner (ETL) Process that is aligned to the ETL Framework based on the science of learning and development.

In the ETL Framework, we first help kids understand and value their identity by having them share their stories of who they are, how they learn and what they aspire to be. These questions open the door to a discussion about the skills that will support their learning challenges, as well as the ways that will enhance their learning strengths.
FOR TEACHERS
How to use this book
Learners will complete the sections Who I Am, How I Learn, and What I Aspire To Be. They can do this independently or with guidance from a teacher.

Each section has prompts to help learners build their stories, culminating in a 1-page summary profile. You can use these prompts but don't be limited by them - if you have other ideas then add them in.

Make use of the multiple means of expression in Book Creator by choosing whether to type, speak, use video, drawings, photos or icons to communicate what you want to say. Delete the examples on each page and replace them with your own.

When you're done, don't forget to check the next steps for teachers at the end of this book.

How to use this book
Have you ever wanted to share your story of who you are, how you learn and what you aspire to be? This book is designed for you to do exactly that. There are prompts along the way for you to tell your story as you are the only one that can.

Tell your story in any way that you want: write it, speak it, use video, photos or drawings or a combination of these. At the end of this book, a one pager can be created to share with your teachers and parents. Have fun!
