HOW DO YOU REPRESENT YOURSELF ONLINE?
There are many times when you visit a site that you are asked to create an account. This often then creates the need for a profile picture. What can we do then?

The profile picture doesn’t need to be a photo of you.

People often create an avatar of themselves - a digital representation of who they are.

You might have a teacher who has created a Bitmoji and uses that in lots of different ways to make a connection between themselves and the people they are sharing work with.

We can’t all make a Bitmoji though - you need to be an adult as some of them are not appropriate for younger people to use. This is a great example of being safe online - not using a site that you are too young to access.

What can you use to make an avatar then?

Below is a resource that has lots of different sites you can use to create avatars. Which one would be a good one for you to use?

Choose one that you think is easy for you to use and create your own avatar. Remember - it is a digital representation of you so can you make it look a bit like you? What is your hair colour? Do you wear glasses? What do you like to wear?

Make it as much like you as you can.

How do we get in?
Lots of websites ask us to log in with a password. If our password is too simple though it might be hacked. (Someone else can easily break into it.)
The website that is linked below (How Secure Is My Password) is a fun way to see how secure your password is.
Try out different passwords to see how easily they might be hacked.
You might want to try these:
