What was your favorite part of this year? This could be about an assignment, a teacher, or a school experience.

Even though we couldn't be together this year, what is your silver lining of 8th grade?(Shout out to a friend, family, experience, or teacher during distance learning). 

I think my favorite part of this year was being able to manage my time and not having to wake up so early. I liked managing my time because I know when things need to get done and when I have free time. It was fun to sleep through my lunch. My teachers and some projects were my favorite too.

I think my silver lining was getting all A's throughout the year. It wasn't difficult but it definitely wasn't easy either. I just needed to do my homework and whatever else I had to get done. It was very stressful sometimes and I needed breaks but I was able to do it. School can be very overwhelming and stressful though and that's okay. I want to shout out to everyone I know because this year was very difficult for everyone so I'm proud of you guys. I want to give thanks to my teachers for everything they've taught me.

In English, we learned all about different types of writing, such as narrative and informative. We read a novel called "The Giver" by Lois Lowry and many news articles, some fake and some reliable.

I chose binge watching because it interested me the most and I was able to learn the pros and cons of it.

I chose this assignment because it was fun to do and I learned more about the solar system. 

In Science we have been learning about Astronomy and Non-contact forces! Students have studied the solar system, analyzed the planets, and created models of the solar system and Earth-sun-moon system.

In 8th grade math, students have worked with Number Systems, Expressions and Equations, and Functions, and will be diving in to Pythagorean Theorem, Geometry and Probability and Statistics for the remainder of the year.

I chose this assignment because it was fun to make a shirt out of paper and I was able to be creative.

Mr. Santana is a great teacher and I like the way he teaches!

I chose this assignment because I've had the most fun with it and I've been more interested in baseball.

I chose this assignment because it was pretty interesting to do and I like how I could use this for my Sketch Up project.

I chose this assignment because it was really exciting to do and I didn't know that you could do pixel art on here.
