What was your favorite part of this year? This could be about an assignment, a teacher, or a school experience.

Even though we couldn't be together this year, what is your silver lining of 8th grade?(Shout out to a friend, family, experience, or teacher during distance learning). 

My favorite part of this year was seeing my teachers slowly give up any ounce of hope of making their students turn on their cameras. I also enjoyed the slow, but sure gateway to tape and vaseline on our cameras to cover up the fact that we got up at 8:59 before proceeding to go to class at 9:00.

Despite all that has happened in 2020 and 2021, my year had a silver lining. So, shoutout to Sans from Undertale and all my webtoon boys.

In English, we learned all about different types of writing, such as narrative and informative. We read a novel called "The Giver" by Lois Lowry and many news articles, some fake and some reliable.

In Science we have been learning about Astronomy and Non-contact forces! Students have studied the solar system, analyzed the planets, and created models of the solar system and Earth-sun-moon system.

The assignment was to figure out if the news was real or fake. I chose the article on binge watching because I was curious about the effects of it.

The purpose of this course is to provide a balanced visual arts program, which guides me to achieve the standards in the Visual Arts as well as further my artistic appreciation and knowledge of the diverse forms and media used in all societies, past and present.&nbsp;

The assignment was to make a comic composed of a few panels. I made a prologue to a fantasy story.
