What was your favorite part of this year? This could be about an assignment, a teacher, or a school experience.

Even though we couldn't be together this year, what is your silver lining of 8th grade?(Shout out to a friend, family, experience, or teacher during distance learning). 

I enjoyed going to homeroom and being able to relax in bed rather then stressing every morning to go to school. I was able to text my friends and talk in the zoom chat with my friends without getting in trouble. Although we maybe won't have all the 8th grade activities we deserved. I still found this year pretty easy.

I want to thank the teachers for helping me out and allowing late work when I was struggling in November and October. I got myself together and became late work free. Also want to thank my mom for motivating me to do my work.

In English, we learned all about different types of writing, such as narrative and informative. We read a novel called "The Giver" by Lois Lowry and many news articles, some fake and some reliable.

I figured out whether an article was false or true! I chose the Boba article because it's one of my favorite drinks.

In Science we have been learning about Astronomy and Non-contact forces! Students have studied the solar system, analyzed the planets, and created models of the solar system and Earth-sun-moon system.

In Geometry, students have worked with properties of space that are related with distance, shape, size, and relative position of figures and probability and statistics for the year.
